Sandy has been involved in Badminton her entire life and is now full-time Badminton Development Officer for Dorset, having carried out the role part-time for three years. Sandy has completed many coaching, sports and education related courses. She has been a professional Badminton Coach at the Littledown Leisure Centre in Bournemouth since 1990 and continues to deliver top quality coaching to young badminton players in schools and clubs in a voluntary capacity. Sandy will work to develop badminton across Dorset and will liaise closely with the Dorset County Badminton Association, whose own volunteers do so much to provide the opportunities for casual and competitive players to enjoy this popular sport. Much of Sandy’s work will focus on increasing participation within schools and junior clubs in addition to ensuring that the necessary coaching structure to support this increase is in place.
Sandy brings a wealth of enthusiasm, experience and knowledge to the role.
