Accreditation is the sign of a quality badminton club, and is recognised to Sport England’s Clubmark standard.  It demonstrates that a Badminton Club has strong coaching and effective management in place and that it take’s equality and child protection issues seriously.  We at BADMINTON England want to be part of England having the most comprehensive sports development system in the world.  The future of badminton depends on the widespread availability of opportunities for young people to gain a quality and enjoyable experience.
It is a challenging process to gain the Silver Club standard.   The brand guarantees high standards.  The responsibility that rests on the coaches and organisers of badminton clubs, albeit that these persons are often volunteers is a very important one.   Giving young people the opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of playing badminton as a member of a friendly and supportive club can be a major influence on a young person’s development.  Club mark standard gives young people access to a sport which can benefit them throughout life.   This scheme gives the framework to help badminton clubs provide a rich and rewarding  experience to all their members, in particular young people.
